The telenovela ‘Pantanal’ ends this Friday (7) and will be replaced by ‘Travessia’ which will debut on the 10th. The storyline has brought looks mainly from the Pantanal region and there have also been several weddings.
How about remembering six wedding dress designs shown in the soap opera, for brides of different ages and styles? From the most classic to the most casual, like the crochet and knitting used by Juma (Alanis Guillen). In this last week alone, the soap opera has had three more brides: Filó (Dira Paes), Zefa (Paula Barbosa) and Irma (Camila Morgado).

Previously, in addition to Juma, Muda (Bella Campos) and Érica (Marcela Fetter) had married, with models that were also very different from each other.

Juma

For Juma, costume designer Marie Salles revealed that she wanted a dress that recalled something from nature and was more rustic. “I met Jacqueline Chiabay, who knits with leftover leather ribbons. And then, together, we developed this dress, all made of crocheted leather, with natural leather ribbons.” It is a weaving of interspersed knit and crochet, made with manually cut scrap leather strips.

The dress of the character Muda has acquired the appearance of being handmade, made by the seamstresses of Estúdios Globo. “There are two fabrics, a textured sheer and a floral fabric underneath. When she walks, this floral fabric appears, with very small prints,” said Marie Salles. On her head she also has a garland of dried flowers, in pink and lilac colors, which accompany the print on the dress.

The wedding dress worn by the character Érica (Marcela Fetter) in “Pantanal” is from the Spanish brand Rosa Clará and was inspired by the look Kate Middleton wore at her wedding to Prince William in 2011.

In natural fabric, with stripes and the appearance of a creased crease, the dress worn by Dira Paes, like Filó, has a crisscross front, which enhances the silhouette.

Sober and closed, the model used by Irma (Camila Morgado) comes with an ornament reminiscent of a mandala on the front. The detail causes the fabric attached to it to acquire folds that expand into a round shape. Different and elegant.
Zefa

Embroidered flowers adorn Zefa’s dress from top to bottom, portrayed in Paula Barbosa’s novel. The fuller skirt contrasts with the narrower back and strapless neckline. The peasant style is perfect for those who get married somewhere and even on the beach.
