Weight Loss: Strengthened breakfast can help you lose weight; understand

arrives at weight loss, in a healthy and constant way, without it becoming a compulsive obsession and bringing very aggressive results, is not such a simple task. Therefore, it is common to find several myths on the subject. And, therefore, one of these is that eating a lot of breakfast, theoretically, would increase the caloric expenditure during the day.

However, this isn’t exactly true. But, on the other hand, having a good breakfast every day can increase overall satiety. That is, it will reduce your smoking throughout the day. That, in itself, is already very attractive to any healthy weight loss process.

Study on weight loss and breakfast

All these discoveries are the result of a study conducted at the University of Aberdeen, Scotland, and recently published by the scientific journal Cell Metabolism. According to the researchers, a good breakfast doesn’t contribute to burning more calories, but it can provide more satiety during the rest of the day.

To reach this conclusion, the study analyzed two groups of people for four weeks. Half of the volunteers had to consume most of their calories in the morning and the other half at night.

And the result was that there was no significant difference in weight loss or energy expenditure between people in either group. However, those who consumed the most calories in the morning reported feeling less hungry throughout the day. That is, something that, in the long term, tends to favor greater adherence to a slimming diet. After all, no one can bear to stay with big restrictions for long.

The researchers also found that the group who ate breakfast as their largest meal of the day also had a lower level of ghrelin, known as the ‘hunger hormone’. Furthermore, they also had a higher level of GLP-1, a hormone associated with satiety.

This means that if you eat a good breakfast every day, the chances of sticking to the diet for longer will be greater. But be careful not to extrapolate calories already in the first meal of the day. The most important thing for weight loss is precisely the daily calorie deficit. That is, by expending more energy than you consume, every day.
