The physical education professional explains the benefits of the exercises, how to do them at home and other information on the subject
Most people have heard that physical activity improves health and helps prevent disease, right? However, what many people still don’t know is that physical exercises also have a important physiological action which boosts our self-esteem and changes the way we see ourselves, improving all aspects of our lives. And this reinforcement occurs even before we see a change in our fitness in the mirror.
“Neurotransmitters released during exercise regulate our mood, sleep, libido and anxiety, improving our self-esteem. The impact of this on improving our lives is gigantic,” explains physical education expert Leandro twin. And the best part is that these benefits can be enjoyed with practice at home.
“Those with good self-esteem are more confident and when our mood is regulated, we can dedicate ourselves more to our tasks and improve our coexistence at home and at work. This too is a virtuous circle, because it facilitates the maintenance of a good habits and a healthy life”, summarizes Leandro.
What exercises to do?
The practitioner explains that the more systemic the exercise (moving various muscles in the body), the greater the release of neurotransmitters. “In this sense, aerobic exercises such as running and brisk walking are even better than anaerobic ones such as weight training. Another advantage of this type of exercise is that you usually do it alone and have some time to think about life. Having that moment to yourself helps you make better decisions,” says Leandro.
And the best thing is that the exercises can be done at home, although brisk walking or jogging on the street, for example, are also interesting. “Those who don’t want to leave the house can jump rope, walk up and down stairs, do flips and stationary running. You can also do a variation of this run, moving your arms up and down. You can even set up a sort of circuit, alternating these activities, which helps raise your heart rate,” lists the Growth Supplements expert.
Leandro explains that, in the case of aerobic exercises, it is necessary to do at least series 3 minutes without a break. “In circuits with three exercises, for example, the person can do one minute of each activity without a break. Remembering that you need to do at least 30 minutes of daily activity at least 5 times a week,” she completes.
Bodybuilding at home? It does!
Those who love bodybuilding can also alternate aerobic exercises with weight exercises at home. “With a pair of dumbbells you can train all muscle groups. Anyone who doesn’t have dumbbells can improvise weights with PET bottles filled with waterfor example,” explains Leandro.

However, the ability to exercise at home can be very useful in times when, for some reason, you cannot go to the gym that often, or even if you simply prefer to exercise from the comfort of your own home.
