Two doctors from the Amazon were cleared of laughing at a child screaming in pain while waiting for treatment in a hospital. The case had repercussions after the images were shared – by the professionals themselves – on social networks last Tuesday 7. “They are exorcising her,” says one of them.
They have been identified as Beatriz Almeida and Sofia Rodrigues Gonçalves, and they worked at the Raimunda Francisca Dineli da Silva Hospital, in the city of Maués, which is located within the state. Both were new hires. At the bottom of the video, you can hear the screams of the child, who may have been in a lot of pain. In addition to the dialogue, there is a text in the post: “Me celebrating that it rains in the city. A few minutes later: child struck by lightning”.

Arousing outrage, the case was investigated and the doctors were immediately cleared by the Municipality of Maués, which, in a statement, considered the unpleasant episode.
” The Municipal Administration of Maués arrives, through this note, to reiterate that it values a humanized public health, as well as repudiates and rejects any unethical and inhumane attitude of health professionals. It also informs that it has determined the immediate dismissal of the health workers involved in this deplorable episode“, says the official note shared on the town hall’s social networks.
