Unseen Love Is Blind UK season three couple Sammy and Jon have revealed they are still together after being cut by Netflix from the final broadcast.
The couple shared their romance publicly on Instagram after keeping their relationship secret for 12 months following their un-broadcast engagement on the reality series.
Despite having their filming journey ended by producers just two days after getting engaged, Sammy and Jon continued dating in secret, eventually moving in together and adopting a dog named Poddy.
Love Is Blind is a reality television dating franchise produced for the global streaming platform Netflix. The format features single participants who speak to one another from inside isolated soundproof booths known as pods. Candidates can converse through speakers but cannot view their dating partners unless a marriage proposal is accepted.
During production, multiple contestant pairs often reach engagement in the pods. Television producers typically select only a handful of engaged couples to follow through the resort vacation, shared apartment living, and wedding phases of the television broadcast. Couples who are not chosen by producers have their filming journey concluded early, leaving them to navigate their relationship privately away from camera crews.
Pod engagement and producer decision
Sammy and Jon participated in the pod stage during filming for the British adaptation of the franchise. Speaking about their hidden connection on social media, Sammy detailed how their romantic relationship began behind closed doors.
"The year no one saw," Sammy wrote on Instagram. "We got engaged on Love Is Blind, but our journey didn’t make it onto your screens. 12 months, approximately 847 lies about how we met and apparently we forgot to break up anyway…hi from your unseen couple of Love Is Blind UK S3. surprise x."
She explained that the pair spent two weeks communicating through the pod partition during filming in August 2025. On September 6, Jon proposed, marking what Sammy described as the start of their "slightly unhinged love story."
However, just 48 hours after accepting the proposal, the couple received text messages from show producers informing them that their time on the program had come to an end.
"Our actual relationship? Well... that was entirely up to us," Sammy explained, noting that the setback did not end their commitment to one another.
First holiday in Malaga and long distance
The pair met face to face for the first time the following month, in October 2025, when they decided to take a holiday together. On just 30 minutes of sleep, they booked a trip to Malaga, a coastal port city located in southern Spain known for its Mediterranean climate.
During the trip, the couple received an unexpected free room upgrade into accommodation intended for another couple. Sammy noted that the vacation gave them crucial time to determine if their connection would hold up outside of the television setup.
"Finally met face to face... and on 30 minutes sleep, decided booking Malaga immediately was a great idea," Sammy wrote. "First holiday, free upgrade into another couple's room and time to figure out if we actually like each other."
"No pods, no cameras, no producers, just us actually figuring out how to be a normal couple after the least normal start unimaginable," she added.
After returning from Spain, Sammy and Jon had to adjust to daily life while maintaining a secret engagement. They both returned to work while living on opposite sides of the country, unable to reveal their status to family or friends.
"Back to work, living opposite sides of the country AND secretly engaged unable to tell anyone. Let the real experiment begin..." Sammy recalled.
Living together and adopting dog Poddy
In November 2025, the couple decided it was time to introduce each other to their respective families. They navigated the winter months while living apart and survived their first Christmas together as a couple.
As their bond strengthened over the winter, Sammy and Jon made the commitment to end their long-distance arrangement by moving into a shared home. They also expanded their household by adopting a puppy, which they named Poddy as a tribute to their initial meeting in the show's dating pods.
"This started to feel like real life," Sammy wrote of their move. "Somewhere along the way, we stopped feeling like two people who met on Love Is Blind. Suddenly it was less 'experiment' and more "Whose turn is it to pick up the dog s***""
Heartbreak after silent miscarriage
In April 2026, the couple received joyful news when they discovered Sammy was pregnant with their first child on Jon's birthday.
However, three months later in June 2026, the couple experienced a devastating loss when Sammy suffered a silent miscarriage.
A silent miscarriage, medically known as a missed miscarriage, occurs when a fetus stops developing in the womb but the body does not immediately display typical physical symptoms of loss, such as pain or bleeding. The condition is often identified during a routine medical ultrasound scan.
The tragic event proved deeply challenging for the pair, particularly as they were still managing living logistics on opposite sides of the country during part of that period.
"We lost our baby to a silent miscarriage and honestly, we really struggled," Sammy wrote. "Grieving whilst still living opposite sides of the country was one of the hardest things we've had to face together."
Barcelona holiday and public reveal
At the end of June, the couple traveled to Barcelona, a major coastal city located in northeastern Spain, for a vacation they had planned throughout the year. They tried to enjoy the break while working through their grief.
"We ended the month in Barcelona on a trip we'd planned all year," Sammy shared. "We tried to enjoy it but truthfully, we were just trying to find out feet again."
Almost a full year after their initial pod dating experience, non-disclosure restrictions expired, allowing Sammy and Jon to share their story publicly for the first time.
Reflecting on their journey, Sammy expressed gratitude that their relationship endured despite being dropped from the television edit.
"We didn't get picked to continue on Love Is Blind. At the time, that felt like the end of our story," she wrote. "Turns out, it was the beginning of the best bit. No cameras, no experiment, no guarantees, we just kept choosing each other and now you're finally in on the secret."
