Martha Stewart is heading back to Netflix, launching full-length video episodes of her Martha Stewart Podcast and bringing her cooking series Martha Cooks to the platform under a new partnership.
The move comes nearly two years after Stewart's documentary Martha premiered on Netflix, marking her second collaboration with the streamer.
As part of Netflix's video podcast partnership with iHeartMedia, episodes of the Martha Stewart Podcast, which she launched in June 2022, will begin streaming Aug. 26. The audio version will continue to be available on iHeartRadio.
"I'm delighted to bring my podcast to Netflix, and with that, introduce the medium of video to the series," Stewart, founder of Martha Stewart Living, said in an Aug. 24 press release. "Netflix is the perfect partner to share and amplify the thoughtful and informative conversations the show is known for with an even greater audience."
The podcast's debut episode on Netflix will feature Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian, with future guests including Benny Blanco and Tell No One author Harlan Coben.
Martha Cooks, which first aired on the Roku Channel in 2022, arrives on Netflix Aug. 25.
From Stockbroker to Media Mogul
Stewart left a career as a Wall Street stockbroker before building a business selling cookbooks and home goods and sharing recipes and gardening tips. She has previously interviewed celebrities including longtime friend Snoop Dogg, Alex Rodriguez and Jameela Jamil on her podcast.
"I discovered my true entrepreneurial bent," she wrote on her website. "I loved ideas. I loved building. I loved creating. I loved making things that would enhance everyday living. And I loved making money as a result."
Stewart said she has always considered herself a teacher and believes she has to learn a skill thoroughly before teaching it. "I apply this same level of rigor to everything I do," she said, adding that she gets the greatest satisfaction from hearing that someone has learned something from her, "such as how to plant a shade garden or rewire an antique lamp."
