Meghan Markle celebrated her 45th birthday barefoot in the kitchen of her Montecito home without public greetings from King Charles or the royal family. Markle spent the day in California with her husband and their children, seven-year-old Archie and five-year-old Lilibet. She published a photograph from a pool dive, thanking people for the love shown to her on her birthday. Her company, As Ever, posted a childhood photo of her, wishing happy birthday to founder @meghan and adding that they were lighting No. 084 to celebrate.

King Charles and the rest of the British royal family sent no public birthday message due to a rule established by Queen Elizabeth II in 2022.
