Love Island stars Molly Smith and Tom Clare held their second wedding at Son Marroig in Mallorca over the weekend, exchanging vows inside the estate's 17th century marble temple with panoramic sea views.
The destination wedding is estimated to have cost around £10,000 (€11,682), with a full wedding day at the venue typically ranging from £68,000 to £102,000 (€80,000 to €120,000) depending on guest numbers and vendor choices.
Inside the Son Marroig venue
Most ceremonies at Son Marroig take place beside the famous marble temple, with terrace receptions able to hold up to 140 guests. The venue has no on-site guest accommodation, and couples are typically required to hire a professional wedding planner and use approved local vendors.
The estate's gardens and spacious terraces, along with its Carrara marble pavilion, give it a distinctive atmosphere. Outside of weddings, Son Marroig operates as a museum during the day.
Molly welcomed guests onto the terrace for a candle-lit wedding breakfast as the sun set. In the first pictures the couple shared on Instagram, Molly wore a beaded bridal gown while Tom wore a white tuxedo. They captioned the post, "The best day of our lives."
Molly and Tom began dating after meeting on Love Island: All Stars in 2024, and the Mallorca wedding followed their legal ceremony last month.
Guests at the wedding
Guests partied into the night after the ceremony, with best man Casey O'Gorman sharing videos of himself dancing. Fellow Love Islander Mitch Taylor and his girlfriend, model Hayley Griffin, were also there, along with Sophie Piper and her partner Joshua Ritchie.
Anton Danyluk explains his absence
One Love Island alum who did not attend, Anton Danyluk, took to Instagram over the weekend to say he had turned down the invitation because he was worried about drinking too much.
Anton, who has previously spoken about problematic drinking since finding fame on the show and now prioritises his health and fitness, said he had been invited at the start of the year and felt "honoured," but that turning it down "wasn't an easy decision" because he had just decided to stop drinking. He said he then went five months without alcohol before concluding his issue wasn't drinking itself but not knowing "when to stop."
"Since then I drink on the odd social occasion. A few then I stop. Has it got out of hand once or twice? Yeah. But it's still a world away from where it used to be and I'm okay with that," he wrote. "So looking back, if I knew then what I know now, I'd have gone. I'd have accepted that it's about the occasion, and about control. At the time I had to say no in order to learn that."
He added, "Congratulations you two. I'm gutted I missed it but I couldn't be happier for you."
Mitch Taylor responded in the comments, "Give it a rest Anton pal, this is weird." Other followers accused him of "using other people for clout," while some defended him, with one writing, "Sometimes in life you have to put yourself 1st especially when it comes to your mental health and well being."
Best man's flight drama
Earlier in the weekend, Casey O'Gorman revealed he nearly missed his flight to Mallorca after EasyJet overbooked it and initially denied him entry. Posting to his Instagram stories on Friday, Casey said he had checked in only to be told the flight was sold out, leaving him to wait at the gate.
"How can I buy a flight that's sold out? I'm trying to keep calm but it's proving very difficult," he wrote, later adding, "How can you oversell a flight it baffles me."
Casey said EasyJet then asked passengers to give up their seats in exchange for £300 compensation. He later revealed a teacher named Harri had volunteered her seat, shouting "He's on! He's on!" in a video before FaceTiming groom Tom as he boarded, writing, "EasyJet nearly f***ed his flight up but the best man's en route." His stories ended with him arriving at the wedding destination and sitting in Tom's hotel room wearing eye patches.
The UK legal ceremony
Casey's travel troubles came weeks after he was left worse for wear following Molly and Tom's first ceremony in the UK, which the couple said had left them "stressed" after a raucous night out.
Speaking to the Daily Mail, Molly and Tom said they had a few "wobbles" dealing with last-minute wedding preparations. Molly said, "It's got to the stressful part, just because we're weeks out and only because it's invoices being sent and all the last bits that you start to panic about and then you start getting people asking you questions, like texting you. So then it starts to get a little bit stressful in that sense. So I have had a little wobble."
Tom added, "We just want it all to be perfect, but like you said, there's just like little bits, people asking silly questions. It's not too bad, but just because we want it to go so well and we've put time and effort into it. I think we're just about there. You've had a few little meltdowns." Molly said Tom "stress cleans," adding, "Normally, you're super, super-chilled, but Tom stress cleans, so I know when you're stressed because you'll go upstairs and start hoovering or something like that!"
The couple described their legal ceremony as "really special and intimate," though they kept most details of the UK day private. Afterwards, they went to The Ivy for a celebratory dinner with close friends and family in a private room, which turned livelier than expected.
Molly said, "It started like so calm and classic. And then by the end of it, Casey was in a heap on the floor. We were on the tables dancing. Everyone just went to the Ivy and we just had a private room." Tom added, "As soon as the door shut, everyone just seemed to go mental!"
