Moscow Rescuer Artem Goes Viral After Street Photo Shoot

Emergency services worker Artem has gone viral online after agreeing to pose as a model for Moscow photographer Darya Gorshkova.

Gorshkova, who posts online under the username dariera, met Artem on the street in Moscow before inviting him to a photo studio on a separate day for a casual fashion shoot.

During the studio session, Artem posed in white banana-style trousers, a brown tank top, and a bomber jacket. He later changed into loose-fitting denim jeans and a black leather jacket before Gorshkova published the resulting photographs and video clip on Instagram.

Artem is an employee of Russia's Ministry of Emergency Situations, the federal executive body responsible for civil defence, firefighting, and natural disaster management. Gorshkova shared the media on Instagram, a social network owned by American technology company Meta Platforms, which has been designated as an extremist organisation and banned within the Russian Federation. Moscow is the capital and largest city of Russia.

Social media reaction

Social media users expressed admiration for Artem's physical appearance in the post's comment section. Several viewers joked that someone ought to bring a fire extinguisher to cool down the comments, while others praised his energetic demeanor, sincerity, and masculine qualities alongside his modesty.

Commentators also compared his look to that of a 20th-century film actor, with multiple users noting a strong resemblance to Enzo Ferrari during the photo shoot. Ferrari was an Italian motor racing driver and entrepreneur who founded the Scuderia Ferrari racing team and the iconic Ferrari sports car manufacturer based in Modena, Italy.

Russian photographers in fashion

Artem's viral success follows another recent high-profile occurrence involving Russian talent in international fashion photography. In May, Russian photographer Artur Gareev, who hails from the city of Ufa, received official media accreditation to cover the Met Gala.

Gareev attended the prestigious event held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City, widely regarded as one of the premier gatherings in the global fashion industry. Ufa is the regional capital of the Republic of Bashkortostan, located in western Russia.
