‘Sontag’ will be the new biopic starring Kristen Stewart

The actress already has her next project ready, another biographical film after her transformation into the late Princess Diana in ‘Spencer’, considered one of the five “really good” films starring Kristen Stewart and in which Stewart herself would recognize in an interview that he thought of Diana “as someone on the run” when preparing to bring the character to life.

According to ‘Screen Daily’, Stewart to play Susan Sontag in ‘Sontag’ biopica film directed by Kirsten Johnson that will be released in 2024, thus staying out of that wonderful list that contains the most anticipated films of 2023.

The film will be based on the biography ‘Sontag: Her Life and Work’ by Ben Moser, and will be adapted by Johnson herself and Lisa Kron.

Susan Sontag was an influential writer, philosopher, and political activist who captured complex ideas about human rights and social justice in moving essays. His nonfiction work was often the subject of controversy and generally highlighted a number of social issues. She worked to highlight the fight against AIDS and was highly critical of the Vietnam War.

The film will begin production at the Berlin Film Festival, where Stewart is the president of the jury.

Producer Gabrielle Tana said: “We are using Berlin to kick off the project and make a documentary of Kristen as the president of the jury and talk to her about how she is going to become Sontag.”

“It will be a drama, but with a documentary aspect. Kirsten has a wonderful approach to storytelling, and this is a reflection of that, so she will use the documentary,” she added. Will it go down as one of the best biopics ever?

Stewart will also star in a new romantic thriller titled ‘Love Lies Bleeding.’ The film will delve into the intense world of competitive bodybuilding and show the lengths to which a female bodybuilder will go to make it in the industry.
