It’s official: French streaming platform Salto is closing its doors. As of this Monday, February 13, the service is no longer available to subscribe to. As for former subscribers, they still have access to the platform’s programs, but for how long?
And while a good number of movies and series are still available for the lucky ones, the preview content that used to be the strength of the platform is no longer available. Starting February 1, tomorrow is ours and it all starts here Salto is no longer broadcast in advance and can now only be rented on Canal VOD. And yesterday it’s Un Si Grand Soleil, France 2’s daily soap opera, which is no longer offered in previews.

Luckily for fans of the series who can’t wait to tune in to find out what’s in store for the residents of Montpellier in the next few episodes, there’s a free way out.
As of Monday, the France.tv platform now offers two episodes in advance without paying any subscription. All you have to do is create an account on the site, which will give you access to a lot of exclusive content.
This morning, you can discover this Tuesday, February 14th episode as well as Wednesday, February 15th. Good news for Un si grand soleil fans, who will no longer need to pay €6.99 per month (ie the price of a Salto subscription) to preview episodes of their favorite series.
