Since the launch of the Drama Queens podcast in June 2021, Hilary Barton Morgan, Sophia Bush, and Bethany Joy Lentz, Peyton, Brooke, and Haley’s respective interpreters, code each week’s episode of The Scott Brothers and reveal secrets regularly. Behind the scenes of the filming of the iconic series.
And in the latest episode uploaded a few days ago, they returned as Season 4, Episode 14, titled “Sad Songs for Dirty Lovers,” in which Peyton and Lucas (Chad Michael Murray) shared an intimate scene. An opportunity for an actor to recall an embarrassing moment during filming.
In the episode in question, Lucas and Peyton, who have finally admitted their feelings, kiss on a young man’s bed. A scene for the less romantic, far removed from being behind the scenes.
Hilary Burton remembers a moment that is particularly embarrassing for her. The filming was actually done through the eyes of his brother, but also his friend at the time. A situation that made this moment awkward for the young woman.
But this is not the only element that made this shoot a real experience. The actor actually explained that a small technical problem ruined everything: “At one point the beard hair caught on my bra and pulled a little off,” says Hilary Barton in the podcast.
“Chad got worried and said, “I’m so sorry,” but that spoiled the reception. I carefully told him, “Hush, let’s pretend nothing happened. I don’t think anyone noticed.” But he was worried that others would see him and didn’t want to pretend that nothing had happened. It all became… it was so embarrassing.“
Even if this scene from episode 14 was an ordeal for Hilary Burton Morgan to film, the chemistry between her and Chad Michael Murray in Brothers Scott remains undeniable. Arguably, this special relationship between the two actors made the couple one of the most iconic figures of the 2000s.
