The cast of Dune 2 is becoming increasingly clear. After Florence Pius (Black Widow), whose name was released this week, appears another comedian who can join the spread of the sequel.
According to the American press, Austin Butler was cast for the lead role in the film. The actor, who appears especially in the TV series “Shanara Chronicles” and “Kerry Diaries”, will soon become Elvis’s main film, directed by Baz Luhrmann.

This film will focus on Elvis Presley’s youth and his relationship with his manager, Colonel Parker, played by Tom Hanks. Prior to this film, Austin Butler also starred in Quentin Tarantino’s film Once Upon a Time … in Hollywood.
The script for Dune 2 is still being written. Filming for this sequel is set to begin this summer and will be released in October 2023. Accordingly, the casting stage is unleashed.
Austin Butler has to play a role that is well known to fans of the original work, the great bad Feyd-Rautha Rabban (then Feyd-Rautha Harkonnen). This is the brother of Count Glossu Raban and nephew of Baron Vladimir Harkonen. This role was played by Sting in the director’s version of David Lynch in the 80s.

Still directed by Dennis Villeneuve, the sequel will continue from where the first film stopped and will continue the story based on Frank Herbert’s 1965 science fiction novel. Zendaya, Rebecca Ferguson, Javier Bardem and Stellan Skarsgარrd will play their roles.
Filming for Dune 2 is scheduled for this summer, it will be released in France on October 18, 2023.
