This is where it all begins: what secret are Tessier and his brother hiding from Axel?

TF1 released a trailer a few days ago for the new main story This Is Where It All Begins, called “Origins”. In these pictures, Ethan (Rick Cleve) and Axel (Thomas Da Costa) compete to become Teissier (Benjamin Barochet) during the second festival to be held at the Auguste Armand Institute.

A conspiracy that will change everything

In the end, the director chooses his nephew, much to the displeasure of Ethan, who is also in crisis with his mother. Indeed, Annabelle (Alexandra Vandernot) took the fact that her son would rather become Teyssier’s assistant than his own… because of this, Cardon and his former apprentice have a heated argument.

Ethan overhears this argument and sees that Annabelle is implying that Emmanuel is her biological father! Is the first year the secret child of a pastry chef? As he learns more about this troubled past, Axel obviously decides to get involved…

In the excerpt here it all starts pre-released by TF1Jasmine’s boyfriend heard about an event that happened over twenty years ago that caught her attention. To satisfy his curiosity, Axel calls his father, even though he is at odds with Tessier, his brother.

Axel leads the investigation

Philippe (Francois-Dominique Blin) is surprised by Axel’s call. The latter tells him that he found out that Emanuel withdrew from the pastry competition in April 2000, so that no one was lucky…

Axel’s father immediately comes in and explains that he doesn’t remember the story. However, as soon as the relationship with his son is over, Philip then joins Emmanuel. He tells her that Axel is asking embarrassing questions about what happened in the past.

On the other end of the line, Teyssier makes sure that Philippe has not revealed anything about their secret. The latter was taken aback, clearly taking care not to answer suspiciously… but will Axel stop researching because of all this? Is the reason Emmanuel didn’t make it to the end of the competition two decades ago related to Annabelle’s revelation?
