In 2010, Franco-American director Sylvain White adapted losers in the cinema. Illustrated by Andy Diggle and published by Vertigo from 2003 to 2006, this comic is the same as Watchmen or The Boys recently brought to the small screen – that is, goofy and violent.

The film’s title refers to the name of a special forces commando sent to Bolivia to arrest a major drug trafficker, unsuspecting that the head of the operation is sending them into a trap.

In front of this powerful opponent, played by Jason Patrick, a team of losers led by Jeffrey Dean Morgan (who also made his debut in the feature film Watchmen – Zack Snyder’s Guardians), consists of Columbus Short, Oscar Jaenada, Idris Elba. (BET Award for Best Actor) and Chris Evans, the future Captain America, who uses his comic talents here as a little computer genius.

Helping them along the way is the mysterious Aisha, played by Zoe Saldana, who stands out for her presence and ease in the register of action.

Aside from its headliner, The Losers relies, like any self-respecting B-series, on well-orchestrated and adrenaline-pumping action sequences, the entirely plausible misuse of schoolboy jokes, and even some eye-popping visual effects to please fans. genre.
