Un Si Grand Soleil: Are Helen and Alix’s Follies Finally Revealed? Revelations of Sophie Le Tellier

From nurse to art dealer to minor madman, Hélène (Sophie Le Tellier) has lived a thousand lives in Un si grand soleil. When he sets up a new scam with Alix (Nadia Fossier), Claire’s ex-friend embarks on a crazy adventure that promises to be rich with twists and turns.

Between the uproar surrounding Definode’s fake paintings and her budding love affair with Christian, an art dealer, Hélène could have ruffled feathers there. Sophie Le Tellier, his translator, confided in our microphone about the continuation of this intrigue and the future of his character.

Allocine: From nurse to art dealer undergoing temporary insanity, Hélène underwent a remarkable evolution in Un si grand soleil. How do you see your character’s journey?

Sophie Le Tellier: Helen came on tiptoe to get the audience used to this new character. And then the transformation happened. Helen went from a friend to Claire (Melanie Maudran) to a dark character. It was really fun to play.

Then there was a form of atonement with prison and a kind of rehabilitation. I think the writers of the series really liked my work and wanted to keep this character alive by transforming his life.

Then Helen came to the gallery with a new friendship with Alix. It was very interesting for me to play all this. Go from a dark, sad and lonely character to something more alive, with new friendships and a little more fun to do.

Elena seems much happier today…

It is correct. He is happier. He may have regained the personality he had before treatment. And then the fact of contact with illness and death in the hospital, I imagine that ended.

He overcame it all. He couldn’t stand it anymore. He might as well agree to really get back into life, have fun, and find his true self.

Until now, Elena had a fairly orderly life. Why did he decide to partner with Alix and especially participate in her fraud?

I think it was initially because of friendship. He allowed himself to be carried away. She was still a bit reluctant at first, but Alix is so convincing that Helen’s desire and energy to be her friend was absorbed.

Helen is currently at the center of an intrigue over alleged artist Definod. What can you tell us about what awaits him in the next episodes of Un si grand soleil?

Elena finds herself in something from which she is trying to escape. He sets up a scam with Alix, but it becomes a spiral of sorts. If he tells Christian too much, he risks embarrassing them, and at the same time he can’t stand the idea of cheating on his girlfriend.

Helen is really conflicted between her loyalty to Alix and her love for this man, because she really fell in love with him. This is a true love story.

Elena accuses herself of lying. So he will regularly try to stop Christian or dampen his enthusiasm in the face of this discovery. It’s on the verge of telling some really Christian stuff, and the story has a lot of surprises.

Speaking of Christian, the latter is excited about this mysterious new artist. With the ditch, could he compromise Helen and Alix’s secret?

I can’t tell you anything because it will reveal everything to you. Something quite unexpected will happen, but Alix and Elena will make it.

A beautiful relationship develops between Helen and Ulises. We have the impression that he fell in love with this artist.

exactly Elena has a great love for Ulysses. Admittedly, Alix’s personality can become quite annoying after a while. As a result, she takes him under her wing a little. We have good scenes.

In the coming sections, we will see that Alix is much more illegal. Helen has more morals and scruples about scamming people.

If Mark Moore (Cesar Merrick) continues to investigate Definod, Chaligny (Rudolph Sand) meanwhile is determined to prove that the artist never existed. What roles will these two men play in the story?

Helen and Alix will use Mark Moore. Chalini doesn’t believe the whole story for a second, so she absolutely wants to prove that it’s all fake. It’s a bit of Alix’s pet and vice versa. So they ensure that he never discovers the truth.

On the other hand, Ulysses has just started a new love story with Bilal (Malik Elakehal El Milian) who finally discovers the artist’s tricks. Knowing that Bilal is going to help Ulysses create a new color, will Alix and Helen be willing to use it?

A little bit. Not immediately, but there will be some kind of association.

We imagine that Helen and Alix are at risk of being caught. Isn’t that what scares Helen?

Yes, but every time he is manipulated by Alix. On the ark we’re shooting, Elena agrees to go along with the new scheme because Alyx is going to trick her into something. So he finds himself in a corner and is forced to accept.

It is true that Alix has a manipulative side. Therefore, Elena again finds herself somewhat unscrupulous, but is afraid of being illegal again.

Other than that story, what happens to your character?

He wanders through the gallery, but a lot will happen with Christian, Helen’s new lover.

So is Christian a character destined to stay on the show for a while?

Yes. Either way, it will be a catalyst for many things.

We definitely have a feeling that Helen is on the road to redemption…

It’s hard for people to believe this because society has labeled him as a crazy character. Then I say to myself “so much the better” because that means well played. It is true that suddenly people have doubts. They say to themselves: “He is hiding something, he is not sincere.”

In fact, they like Claire’s character quite a bit. In every story the character lives in, the writers really want to rehabilitate Helen so that people realize that drugs are what made her go around.

After that, there are so many surprises that it is possible that Elena will spin again in six months. But now, they believe, it’s the drugs that are responsible. Now everything is in the past and Elena is back to normal.

Do you enjoy playing all these aspects of Helen?

It’s quite nice. Admittedly, it allowed me to do some sort of splits and play a lot of different things. It is joyful. Crazy scenes, romantic comedy scenes, or even friendship scenes, it’s really great.

Generally, in a series or unit, we have a character defined by a color. On Un si grand soleil, because it’s long, the screenwriters can develop their imagination like that, and it’s very nice.

Do you have any special wishes for your character?

I just wish my character would continue and Helen would really settle down in life because you can see that in reality she doesn’t settle down. What is happening around is tiring for him (laughs). I wish it would have a wonderful love story and settle down for a while.

Helen ends up being a character we know little about. Do the writers plan to dig into his past?

True, we don’t know much about his past. We recently learned that she was the daughter of a policeman and was being driven from town to town. He doesn’t seem to have children, but if he does, he does. This series is amazing. If this is the case, the authors will land the hidden child in six months!

At the moment, this is a person who has not started a family and seems to be an only child. But then again, there are always surprises for writers. Helen may end up divorcing her husband, who kept the child, or she may even lose the child. There are many possibilities.

I can’t tell you more because I don’t know myself. And it’s like that for everyone.

Are there actors from Un si grand soleil that you would like to work with?

There are a lot of people that I admire and then I have friends who work on the series. Fred Bianconi is a friend, so I would love to do scenes together. I had a little scene with Moise Santamaria that we laughed about, so I would love to play with him.

Cesar Merrick, we travel together, but not much. He is a really good actor and I want more scenes with him. Shirley Busquet is also someone I adore and want to shoot with. In fact, there are a lot of people I would love to work with.

Do you have any other projects besides Un si grand soleil that you would like to tell us about?

I am acting with Jules Depardieu in Alexandra Ehle’s TV series. I’m getting two new episodes starting in April. I play Ludivine Moret, an entomologist. He is very funny, very friendly and very sincere character.
