‘Red Rose’: explained ending of the Netflix fiction that everyone is talking about

The series is titled of the ‘app’ around which the plot revolves and which promises to change the lives of those who decide to use it. However, behind it hides a dark and deadly game that leaves several victims. The first one appears in the first chapter and we have to wait until the last one to find answers. And in that outcome so many things happen that we are going to give you the ‘Red Rose’ ending explained.

Throughout the eight chapters of this first installment, we learn more details about the ‘app’ when Rochelle’s friends, one of the victims, begin to investigate. Its creator was Jacob, a guy who decided to make this app to get closer to his crush, Alyssa. However, this kid was not alone, since he received advice from other people on the ‘dark web’. When the girl rejects him, they mock Jacob and decide to take control of ‘Red Rose’ from him. From that moment on, the girl is pushed into a spiral of self-destruction. She is she takes her life and her maker, eaten up with grief and guilt, also dies.

Once this origin is understood, Wren and the rest of Rochelle’s friends are determined to find the culprits and the gardener, leader of this virtual organization of murderers. To reach that figure, they use the help of Jaya, an expert in computer issues. ‘Red Rose’ wants to manipulate Wren and to do so plays with her family history through her father. In this way, she is taken to a hidden place to put her between the ropes. There is her parent kidnapped from her and, although he asks her to leave her, the young woman decides to confront what is supposedly the gardener. At no time do we know the motives of these people to attack and kill. With Rochelle it is shown that she did not commit suicide and that one of her members murdered her.

The gardener is killed and the gang believes they have finished off the organization’s mastermind. However, there are a couple of script twists at the end of ‘Red Rose’ that leave us with doubts. The mysterious woman, who had helped them, appears and lets Jaya know that she is the architect of everything and that things are not over. Of course, it will be in another city, Tokyo, and with new victims who use the application, now with a logo of a white rose. Will there be season 2 of the teen series? The door ‘app’ is open…
