A true success at the international box office with $634 million, Tous en scène had 3.5 million French people singing and dancing.

Hitting our cinemas in January 2017, Garth Jennings’ animated musical follows Buster Moon, a stylish koala who decides to organize a singing competition. Five candidates have been selected for this challenge. Then they come upon Buster’s scene, an opportunity that will change their lives forever.

Four years later, Illumination Studios offered a sequel soberly titled Tous en scène 2. The post-pandemic animated film grossed $408 million worldwide and drew 2.7 million viewers in France.

In this sequel, Buster and his troupe try to put on a new show at the prestigious Crystal Tower Theater in Redshore. To achieve their goals, they must convince ex-rock star Leo Clay Calloway to come out on their side. But the latter stopped the music and was not going to return to the front of the stage.

“I might do it in All In Scene 3. I’ve been told by a lot of people that Buster Moon should sing and dance, and I’m all for it. That would be a lot of fun. Talk to the director and tell him I agree.”

No official announcement has been made since then. Universal Pictures and Illumination Entertainment recently revamped their lineup. Following the adaptation of Nintendo video game: Super Mario Bros., which is scheduled for release on April 5, the studio will release Benjamin Renner’s Migration, followed by Despicable Me 4, which is scheduled for release on July 3, 2024.

But no mention of All On Stage 3 yet.
