With the Add Sounds feature, you can trim a part of the audio, adjust the duration, and set the playback start point. Just combine the feature with a little patience and you’ll be able to put together a synchronized voiceover, ready to be posted on the social network.
There are two ways to do this: add audio after recording or use TikTok’s video editor – find out how to sync in any situation
How to lip sync song lyrics on TikTok
With audio tool
- Open TikTok, tap the “+” icon and record the video;
- On the editing screen, select “Add sound”;
- Search your library for the song you want to use and tap the scissors icon next to the title to cut it;
- Hold and drag the playbar sideways. This way you will be able to synchronize the beginning of the text with the movement of the lips.
With video editors
Before you record the video, choose the audio you want to use. You can browse the library under “Add sounds” or choose the sound used in a video from a social network, for example. Then follow these steps:
- After registration, select the “Edit” icon in the upper right corner of the screen;
- TikTok will redirect to the app’s built-in editor, with a CapCut-like interface. In this editor, audio is separated into its own track;
- Touch and drag on the white arrow to trim or extend the audio duration;
- Touch and hold the audio track to change the position during the video. This function can be used to synchronize picture with sound;
- Save your changes and return to the publish settings screen.
In the editor, you can also adjust the length of the video. This feature is an alternative for longer posts with multiple clippings.
