After a season 2 full of twists and turns, The Outer Banks is back on Netflix for a new series of episodes. In the third season of the teen series, the Pogues are in bad shape after a treasure hunt.
Lonely pogs on a desert island will use all available resources to get back to their loved ones and take revenge on their enemies. The whole gang is back: Chase Stokes (John B), Madeline Cline (Sarah), Madison Bailey (Kiara), Rudy Pankow (Jay), Jonathan Davis (Pop), Austin North (Topper) and Drew Stark (Raife) Carlasia Grant (Cleo ), who joined the series in Season 2.
Is a season 4 possible?
In Season 3, the Pogs manage to return, without issue, to the Outer Banks to continue their search for Eldorado. They will be helped by Big John (Charles Halford), John B’s father, back from the dead. But they’ll also have to escape new enemy Carlos Singh (Andy McQueen) and deal with Ward Cameron (Charles Esten), Sarah’s father.
At the end of the third season, Sarah and John B. They discover a cave containing the treasure of El Dorado, but are followed by Carlos Singh and Ward Cameron. A violent conflict results in the deaths of Carlos Singh, Ward Cameron and Big John, but above all an explosion that seals the cave.
Aside from this surprise, Sarah and John B managed to leave with enough gold to start a new life with their friends. The final moments of the final episode show the Pogs being rewarded by the Outer Banks community for their discovery and research.
At the same time, everyone found a way: Kiara saves the turtles, Papi goes back to school, JJ buys a boat, and Sarah and John B. They own a surf shop. But the taste for adventure does not disappear so easily.
So when the Pogues are confronted by a mysterious man who asks for help deciphering a manuscript detailing the voyages of the notorious pirate Edward Teach, better known as Blackbeard. What opens the door to new adventures in a potential Season 4?
Well, yes! Even before the release of Season 3 on Netflix, the cast announced that the series had been renewed for a fourth season during Poguelandia, a festival held in Huntington Beach, California for fans.
The group will apparently be there for the fourth burst of episodes and should be ready for as many adventures as possible if Chase Stokes is to be believed. An interpreter told John B HollywoodReporter That he wanted to expand the outer banks as long as the story is worth it:
“Until the writers and Netflix get it right, that’s my main concern. I want to make sure we end this series on a high note and tell the right story and not drag it out too far. So that it becomes tasteless. I think you see a lot of it on TV, so I want to tell the right story and Let’s end on a high note.”
And that’s a good thing, because co-creator and showrunner Jonas Pate seems to agree with Chase Stokes. Especially since Outer Banks announced that it had a plan for 5 seasons right from the start. Will the Netflix series go that far?
