Sentenced to life in prison — a sentence he served until 2017, when he died in California — the cult leader was arrested only thanks to the testimony of a former member of the Manson Family: Linda Kasabian.

Now, as revealed by TMZ, it has come to light that Linda passed away on January 21 of this year, at a hospital in Tacoma, Washington, at the age of 73. The cause of her death was not disclosed and Linda’s body was cremated.

Kasabian was present at two massacres carried out by cult members, however, he claimed he never harmed anyone. She was a key witness in the Manson trial, which took place between 1970 and 1971. For her help, she was eventually granted immunity from prosecution.

After giving Charles away, Linda changed her last name to “Chiochios” and tried to rebuild her life away from the spotlight. Initially, she moved back to New Hampshire with her children, Tanya and Angel, and resumed her old marriage. Living in anonymity, Linda built a close-knit family and for many years nothing was heard of her.
