Clotilda discovers Axel’s true identity

If Constance still believes that Emmanuel should tell Axel the truth about his father, the latter stands by his position and prefers to keep it a secret.

At the atelier, Axel admits to Jasmin that he’s not really in the mood for the Festival du Goût because he’s afraid of working with his uncle—at least, as he’s believed it to be. Jasmine leaves to wish him luck with Emmanuelle. The latter came with Theo in case Axel didn’t feel he could help. But the young man is going to respect his position. Theo then takes the opportunity to show his support for his cousin.

On the other hand, Jasmin trains with chef Armand. This one notices that the young girl is not thoroughly involved in the work and prompts her to confide in him what worries her. Jasmine admits that she is worried about Axel, who recently discovered the identity of his biological mother, a certain Lucy Clement.

At the Atelier, Vardy kicks off the first day of the Festival du Goût in front of the regional press. She introduces Chef Teissier, also Axel, as her nephew. When the presentation begins, Emanuel hides behind the stove, while Axel simply explains the recipe to the customers and answers questions.

During this time, Clotilde is looking through the Year 1 files in her office to find Axel. On a copy of his ID, he finds out that he was born in April 2000.

At the atelier, Lola and Philip are happy to see their son develop into his element. The latter invites them to taste his recently completed creation. Watching the three of them together, Constance finally agrees with her husband and admits that it’s best not to say anything about Axel’s father.

At the end of the day, Emmanuel congratulates Axel on his job. He does not regret that he chose a second time. He adds that he will always think of her as his niece and will answer questions about his mother as accurately as possible. Axel is touched. He is then joined by Jasmine, to whom he recounts the positive course of his time. A young man thanks his girlfriend for encouraging him not to let go.

For her part, Clotilde immediately calls her sister to tell her about her discovery: Axel is none other than the biological son of their father, Auguste Armand…

Amber predicts Salome

At the Marais Salants roommate, Ambre plays cards with Deva. Amber predicts to her friend that she will be a hit during the day with Chef Cardon at the Festival du Goût. Very rational, Salome is interested, but agrees to play her cards.

He wonders if he’s having a good day, then draws two cards that should answer his question. Analyzing them, Amber predicts a reversal of fortune for Salome. He only moderately believes this. Amber suggests asking another question for the cards. Deva suggests that they ask him how his situation will develop with Gatan. Salome starts the painting process again without taking it seriously. Annoyed, Amber refuses to translate her new prediction.

Later, during Lystrac’s lesson, Salome accidentally pours herself into the broth and immediately connects with her fellow prophet. When he talks about it to Enzo, the latter is amused.

But after returning to the neighborhood, Salome tells Amber what happened and appreciates it more. So she asks him to reveal to her a prophecy about her relationship with Getan. Amber translates the cards’ message to him: they say their relationship is hopeless because they’re so different. Salome doesn’t want to believe it.

Hortense makes an inspiring appointment

At Double A, an elderly gentleman shows up to take a reserved table. Hortense remembers talking to him on the phone when she made the reservation. However, Eliot cannot find it and blames Hortense for not confirming it. They then invite customers to sit at the bar until a table becomes available.

For forgiveness, Eliot and Hortense offer the customer the dessert of the day. The latter tells them that he promised himself he would come down to Double A with his wife and that they never did. Now that he’s passed away, it’s a way of honoring him. Therefore, he advises the 3rd year to live intensely and not to argue about nonsense.

Inspired by this encounter, Elliott apologizes to Hortense for the little thing about confirming the reservation. They find an old gentleman sitting on a bench and dozing off. The latter advises them once again not to delay anything.

Hortense buys notebooks and pens for her, Eliot, and Mehdi. He convinces them to make a to-do list so they don’t regret it and then do each item on their lists together.
