At the end of season 2 of The Mandalorian, the farewell to Dean Jarrin and Grog, who Luke Skywalker took to begin his Jedi training, left many fans of the Star Wars series in tears.
However, it didn’t take long for the two characters to reunite, as the Mandalorian and Baby Yoda finally appeared in episode 6 of the spin-off, The Book of Boba Fett.
So the timeline hinted that their split didn’t last long, but Jon Favreau, creator of both series, revealed that Grog’s training with Luke Skywalker lasted almost two years!
At the microphone of our colleagues varietyJon Favreau has given precise indications of the Season 3 timeline: “I’d say it’s been about that long since we last saw them. After the season 2 finale, they reunited a year later in The Book of Boba Fett, so I’d say about more than a year, but less than two years. “

Recall that Grogu decided not to complete his Jedi training after being introduced to him by Luke: to inherit Yoda’s lightsaber but emphasize his past life, or to give up his Jedi life to find his mentor. The child didn’t hesitate to leave his master and find Dean Jarryn, who had been banished from the Mandalorian Order for removing his helmet.
The adventures of Dean Jarrin and Grog in The Mandalore Season 3 can be found every Wednesday exclusively on Disney+!
