In the same way that in “Wednesday” it was a surprise that Fingers was not made with CGI, for “Cocaine Bear” director Elizabeth Banks decided not to use real bears and instead had a person make the animal.
The film based on true events is about Cokie, a bear from the Goergia forest who finds a large amount of cocaine and after inhaling it slaughters people.
“Cocaine Bear” makes a mixture of horror and comedy, but to bring the bear to life, the film directed and produced by Elizabeth Banks did not use real animals, but chose classic technology and techniques.

Behind the 500-pound bear is a real person, Alan Henry, who was on set as a motion actor.
Henry already has many years of experience in front of the cameras playing characters that are placed in films with computers in post-production and tracking their movements.
The actor and stuntman worked on projects such as the ‘Planet of the Apes’ film trilogy, ‘Godzilla vs. Kong,” with Marvel in “Avengers: Endgame” and the live-action “Jungle Book.”
In addition, Allan Henry was mentored by Andy Serkis, the actor behind Cesar in ‘Planet of the Apes’, Gollum in ‘The Lord of the Rings’, King Kong in the 2005 film and many more.
