In theaters on May 24, 2023, The Little Mermaid Live Movie is making a big splash among fans of the Disney classic!

On February 16, a trailer for the feature film was released, reviving old rumors about the design of the work’s iconic character: Flounder (Flounder in VO).

If the convicted surgeon fish has not yet appeared in the already revealed images, its appearance is already fueling discussions on social networks, as well as the Sebastian crab.

It all started with a fan art created in 2020 A certain nick pill, a fan of The Little Mermaid. We see a flounder emerging from the water with a relatively menacing gelatinous appearance.

The picture, which has been resurfaced thanks to the release of the trailer, has netizens jumping. Some believed it was the actual design of the cute creature, which led to the rumor mill.
