Jonathan Majors responds to the bad reviews of ‘Ant-Man 3’

The film gets 47% on ‘Rotten Tomatoes’.

‘Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania’ has kicked off Marvel’s Phase Five, but not in the best way. It is one of two MCU movies that has received a ‘Rotten’ rating on ‘Rotten Tomatoes’and has established the record for the largest weekly drop in the US box office for a marvel moviewith a whopping 69.9% drop, to the point that even the screenwriter of ‘Ant-Man 3: Quantumania’ is surprised by the devastating reviews.

But, even in the bad reviews, Jonathan Majors’ performance as Kang was outstanding As a positive aspect of the movie, even Paul Rudd has singled out Jonathan Majors in ‘Ant-Man 3’, something we also highlighted in our ‘Ant-Man 3’ review, so how does it feel to be seen as the best part of something bad?

Majors spoke about the reception of the film in the podcast ‘Screen Talk’ by ‘Indie Wire’stating: “It doesn’t change how I see myself, period. It’s all data.”

I am a performance within a story. One thing I tell my team when we’re leaving a premiere, if they’re reading reviews, is, ‘How’s the movie coming?’ I try to take care of myself.”

“The answer is, ‘You’re fine. You’re good. They like you.’ And they tell me about the movie. Sometimes the movie is on that level too, and sometimes it’s not.“.

He doesn’t care what the critics say because he knows critics are just people, adding, “They have an opinion. They always have an opinion. I’m not stupid. I know it’s people who write.”

Not my Yale professors and not my drama professors. They are people who have children and have a perspective, have a religious upbringing or lack thereof. They live in this city, they either want to be seen that way or they don’t want to be seen that way.”

“I look at the percentage and, okay, 47%. But what does that 47% mean when you also have this amount of box office? What do these things mean? It is information. I am aware. I’m not going to judge myself. If you’re a level critic, I probably know you and understand your politics.”
