Roma win the derby against Juventus and enter the G4 of the Italian Championship

This Sunday, Roma and Juventus met for the 25th day of the Italian Championship, at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome (ITA). With a goal from Gianluca Mancini, the hosts won 1-0.

The team coached by José Mourinho thus recovers from the defeat suffered by Cremonese in the last round, reaches 47 points and enters the national G4 – classification zone of the European Champions League.

Velha Senhora, on the other hand, ended a streak of four consecutive victories. With that, he is left with 35 goals and drops to eighth place. The distance from the classification zone for the European championships is seven points.

In the next round, therefore, Roma will face Sassuolo, on Sunday (12) at 2 pm (Brasilia time), again at the Stadio Olimpico. Shortly after, starting at 16:45, Juventus will face Sampdoria, at home, at the Juventus Stadium.

Before that, however, both clubs turn their attention to the first leg of the round of 16 of the Europa League. Next Thursday, at 14:45, the team from the Italian capital will face Real Sociedad-ESP at home, while Velha Senhora will receive Freiburg-ALE, starting at 17, in Turin (ITA).

Roma’s goal against Juventus

After a first half with chances from both sides, Roma managed to open the scoring in the eighth minute of the second half. Gianluca Mancini caught a pass from Bryan Cristante and shot low from outside the area to beat Szczesny, scoring the only goal of the match.

Finally, already in the 45th minute, a possible draw for Juventus became more difficult. Moise Kean had a fight with his opponent and received a red card for defeating him. With that, the visitors were left with ten players on the field.
