Without getting into a purely spectacular film of the disaster, Sally still relies on a breathless and anxiety-inducing reconstruction of a real Airbus A320 with a five-camera system running simultaneously.
The director also invited the real lifeguards of the time to return in front of the camera to repeat their prowess, thus emphasizing the spirit of solidarity that the captain never ceases to salute. On screen, he carries the qualities of Tom Hanks, whose sober interpretation is matched only by the noble modesty of his character.
