John Wick 4: Early Reactions Describe Film as ‘Epic’

John Wick 4: Baba Yaga arrives in Brazilian theaters on March 23, and selected fans and critics have already had the chance to attend an advance screening of the film, presenting their first impressions of the fourth installment of the action franchise on social networks.

the continuation of John Wick 3: Parabellum of 2019, John Wick 4: Baba Yaga will see Keanu Reeves return as the assassin that the franchise is named after, as he travels to exotic locales and battles his toughest enemies.

This time, the film’s main antagonist is a high-ranking member of the criminal council, the Marquis of Gramont (Bill Skarsgård). Lawrence Fishburne, Lance Reddick and Ian McShane return to the saga, while new faces in the cast include Scott Adkins, Donnie Yen, Clancy Brown and Marko Zaror.

The new film is once again directed by Chad Stahelski. The film has a screenplay written by Shay Hatten and Michael Finch. In addition to directing, Stahelski is also directing the project alongside Erica Lee and Basil Iwanyk through production companies Summit Entertainment and Thunder Road Pictures.

Initial reactions to the film include praise, with some callouts John Wick 4 of “epic” and “glorious”, while others go further, stating that it is the best film in the series and also one of the best action films of all time.

John Wick 4 it’s fucking amazing. I had to literally knock my jaw off the floor at some of the insanely imaginative pieces. You are not prepared for what Keanu does with the dragon blowgun. Also, Donnie Yen brought his A game. I can’t wait to watch it again. Also, the movie is 2 hours and 49 minutes long and I’ve never heard that. The pacing is fantastic and the film is worth its length. If you go to see it make sure you watch it in IMAX.

John Wick 4 it’s a bloody, action-packed killing fest, and that’s what makes it awesome! Usually I don’t like so much action in my films, but Stahelski makes every frame count. Yes, that’s ridiculous. Yes, it’s the logic of video games. Yes, it’s extra to die for. Yes, I will watch again! I am also thinking a lot about the character of Rina Sawayama and the fact that she will need a sequel to her because she was my favorite!!
