While talking about that potential casting I was like, ‘Yeah, that would be cool!’“
Waldron, who directed the ‘Loki’ series last year on Disney+, spoke of Cruise’s commitment to the next two Mission: Impossible films as a roadblock.”I just don’t think that was ever an option, due to availability“, he added.

And we try to stay true to what kind of characters were represented in the Illuminati in the comics.“.
