Finance Minister Fernando Haddad said on Thursday that Desenrola will be launched as soon as the development of specific software for the debt rescheduling program of state-guaranteed individuals is completed, which does not have a specific deadline for this to happen. .
“Desenrola is unprecedented, nothing like this has ever been done, so we will have to develop an operating system,” Haddad told reporters at the ministry’s entrance. According to him, the authorization to contract the service was given on Monday by President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva.
“As soon as it’s ready, we’ll launch the program, it’s up to the programmers to deliver the operating system,” the minister said, adding he had no idea how long it would take.
Desenrola was an electoral promise from Lula. In late February, the president said the program was ready and could be announced this week.
Haddad has already announced that the guarantee fund of the program will have about 10 billion reais, a figure that will be enough to renegotiate 50 billion reais of debts of 37 million individuals.
When asked about the appointment of a new director of the central bank to replace Bruno Serra (Monetary Policies), whose mandate expired at the end of February, Haddad reiterated that he had already forwarded alternatives to President Lula.
“He will definitely interview and make the decision, which is his prerogative,” Haddad said.
