Who’s who in ‘Las Pelotaris 1926’? Meet the protagonists of the new ViX+ series

If you like series that show how to be a strong woman and break stereotypes, you should watch “Las Pelotaris 1926”, an original Mexican-Spanish production by ViX+.

Its plot is inspired by real-life women who competed at the highest level of Basque peloton in the 1920s. Idoia, Chelo and Itzi will make you enjoy a story full of sporting rivalries, ambitions, loves and death, but who who is in “Las Pelotaris 1926”?

Claudia Salas is Idoia in “Las Pelotaris 1926”

If you’ve been wondering what the original cast of ‘Elite’ is up to now, you might know that Claudia Salas, who played Rebeka in the teen drama, is now part of ‘Las Pelotaris 1926’, The ViX+ original series hits the streaming platform on March 10.

In it, she plays Idoia, a Spanish Basque pelota who struggles to achieve her dreams in a time when athletic success for women was frowned upon.

In an interview with Cosmopolitan, the actress revealed that if there’s anything she identifies with her character, it’s her persistence and determination to achieve her goals.

She also revealed that the transition to the era in which “Las Pelotaris 1926” is set was a challenge for her, since she had to leave behind the social constructs of today:

Zuria Vega (who is one of the celebrities who showed the more intimate side of their traditions) plays Chelo in “Las Pelotaris 1926”, a professional Basque pelota player.

She’s not just any athlete, but she’s going to be the best in Mexico. But her career will be on the line when she discovers she is pregnant in “Las Pelotaris 1926”.

In an interview with Cosmopolitan, the actress revealed that as she gave her character her own twist, Chelo kept a piece of herself:

María de Nati completes the trio of talented actors starring in “Las Pelotaris 1926”, a series in which she plays the character of Itzi, a Basque pelota player who competes at the highest level of this sport.

She will team up with Chelo and Idoia to overcome the challenges of being a woman in a macho age and confront the prejudices of their husbands and bosses. In an interview with Cosmopolitan, the actress confessed the following about her character in “Las Pelotaris 1926”:
