Apple announced Thursday (8) that it will launch a streaming service entirely focused on classical music. The application Apple Classical Music it will act as an extension of Apple Music and will be available for free to subscribers of the platform, which will debut on March 28.
The new service will have an initial catalog that includes more than five million songs and thousands of exclusive albums. As with other digital music platforms, these numbers are expected to increase with future releases. According to Apple’s statement, the app will provide “complete and accurate metadata”. It will be possible to search by composer, work, conductor or even by catalog number.
