Owner of more than 400 million reproductions of his compositions, including hits of the band Maneva, the artist begins collaboration with Lunar Estúdios
Singer-songwriter DEKO will release his new song this Friday (24) Perfumean original single that divulges a love that does not fit into logic and which is now available on digital platforms.
There are encounters that happen before they even happen. A look, a smell, a sensation that arrives without warning and settles as if it had always been there. It’s in that moment: between doubt and desire, in the middle “Will it be?” and the “Already” – who was born Perfumetrack written by DEKO in collaboration with Isaías Nunes, combines elements of reggae, R&B and the softness of lo-fi, and officially inaugurates the artist’s collaboration with Lunar Studiesmade up of musicians who have accompanied him on the road for over 15 years.
The song marks the beginning of a new artistic chapter, more intimate, authorial and faithful to the singer’s personal references.
Perfume delves into the contradictions of the beginning of an unexpected love. The lyrics talk about the doubt between rationality and desire, when you get involved with someone completely different, but whose presence is impossible to resist, like the smell of a surprising perfume.
“This song is about that moment when you realize that no matter how much you try to resist, connection with someone is inevitable. That’s how the name and vibe of the song came about”explains DEKO.
The musical production is signed by Luca Ferreira AND Marcelo Delatorrenext to Fernando Gatoall team members Lunar Studies.

The clip, also produced by Lunar and registered at his home DEKOvisually translates the sensation of the track. Alone in his room, the artist stages the exact moment in which rational thought tries to speak louder, but ends up being overwhelmed by emotion. Without major effects or gimmicks, the video focuses on simplicity to get in touch with those who have already experienced this dilemma.
“The idea was to be faithful to what I felt while I was composing. It was me, my guitar, the silence of home and that whirlwind of feelings that only the beginning of a passion can cause”says the artist.
With an established career as a composer, with songs recorded by names such as Maneva, Gabriel Elias, Attitude 67, Di Ferrero AND Natiruti —, DEKO Now he is experiencing a moment of affirmation as a singer. Perfume is the first release in a sequence that will culminate in a new EP with five new tracks, scheduled for release this year.
