The 20-year-old actor could definitely find Tim Burton for the Beetlejuice sequel. According to the website DeadlineMichael Keaton and Winona Ryder will reprise their roles, and the film will be directed by Tim Burton. Jenna Ortega is set to play Lydia’s (Ryder) daughter. Warner Bros. plans to shoot in late May, early June in London.
Released in 1988, Tim Burton’s Beetlejuice also stars Alec Baldwin, Geena Davis, Geoffrey Jones and Catherine O’Hara. In this horror comedy, Adam and Barbara Maitland die after trying to save a dog. Turned out to be ghosts, they find their home invaded by a rich and noisy New York family. Adam and Barbara decide to chase away the attackers. But their classic ghosts and other spells have no effect. That’s when a free-spirited “bio-exorcist” known by the nickname Beetlejuice is called.
With a budget of $15 million, the feature film grossed $80 million and won an Oscar for Best Makeup in 1989.
