The premiere of the comedy mini-series “Supernova” by Argentine directors Juan Fernandez Gebauer and Ana Katz took place in the KION online cinema. They created a scathing satire of the toxic society that the advertising and social media industry has created. The main roles in the film were played by modern Argentine stars: Joanna Chifo, Carolina Kopelioff, Ruggiero Pascarelli.
The series “Supernova” honestly and without embellishment reflects the state of humanity in recent years: appearance has become the most valuable aspect in the eyes of others, it is she who forms the attitude of the majority towards the individual. Although Nico’s character is conventionally beautiful, everyone reminds her of her “fullness”. The directors of the series also show that in many respects it is the parents who are to blame for the insecurity of their children, who have long grown up and crossed the 30th anniversary mark.
The project was nominated for the Argentine Film Critics Association Award in six categories: Best Comedy Series, Best Directing, Best Original Screenplay, and Best New Actors and Actresses in Leading and Supporting Roles.
