Named one of the biggest hits at the French box office in 1980, La Boum marks the first professional meeting between Sophie Marceau, then 14, the film’s true find and director Claude Pinot. Then the two artists met again in 1982 for La Boum 2, then in 1988. ᲡStudent.

Leaving High School for the World College, this generational sentimental comedy, deeply modern and moving, combines Sophie Marceau and Vincent Lyndon. But despite the hopes set by Gamont, the film did not have the same success in Dark Rooms. ᲡStudent Satisfied with 1.58 million admissions, which is far from 4.38 and 4.07 million for La Boum 1 and 2, respectively.
