Learn how to create a signature in Gmail on computer and Android to make your messages look more professional
Sending emails with a personalized signature at the end of the message can save time, make your communication more effective and, as a business tool, more professional. Fortunately, the gmail allows you to easily add signatures in platform settings.
The options for creating a signature are numerous: you can use simple text formatting — with name, title and contact information — or use more elaborate functions, such as Add image and use standardized HTML language. Whichever you choose, you can use an Android device or a computer to create your signatures.
Create a Gmail signature on your computer
- Log in and access your email Google (mail.google.com);
- In the upper right corner of the screen, click on the gear icon and select “See all settings”;
- Look for the “Signature” section and click on “Create new”;
- Give the signature a name and select “Create”;
- Create a signature in the text field;
- In the “Signature Defaults” section, select the name of the created signature to be used in new emails and replies/forwards”.
Create a signature in Gmail on Android
- Open the Gmail app and tap the three-bar button (in the upper left corner of the screen);
- Scroll down and tap “Settings”;
- Select the email address you want to create the signature for;
- Tap “Cellular Subscription”;
- Define the text that will appear at the end of your sent emails;
- Tap “Ok” to confirm.
Ready! Your outgoing emails will automatically add the created electronic signature. If you need to adjust it, repeat the above steps and enter new text.
