This Sunday (12), 60-year-old actress Michelle Yeoh made history by winning Best Actress at the 2023 Oscars. She became the first Asian woman to win in this category. In her speech, Michelle called attention to women her own age.
“And ladies, don’t let anyone tell you you’re past your prime,” the actress said.
Yeoh also told boys and girls who look like her that the award “is proof that dreams dream big and come true”, and concluded by saying that “this is the story that writes itself”.
