With a premiere date announced this Tuesday, the 14th, ‘The Call 4: Samara Resurges’ promises a retelling of the original plot; check out the trailer

One of the greatest classics of horror, The call debuted in 2004 and won over legions of fans, as well as setting a new bar for the genre. Years later, this Tuesday, the 14th, the Paris Filmsannounced the release date of the fourth film in the franchise haunted by Samara.

In an update of the original story designed for the new generations, the film begins with a video that went viral on the internet. Rather than trending online, however, the clip appears to be cursed and ends up causing hundreds of deaths across Japan.

Owner of a singular intelligence, Ayaka Ichijo (Fuka Koshiba) becomes involved in the situation after his sister watches the video. Frightened by the news and afraid of losing her sister, the young graduate student tries to unravel the mystery of the cursed images.

It is interesting to point out that, in the continuation, Samara (or Sadako Yamamurafrom Japanese comics) reaches its victims in just 24 hours – and, in the 2004 film, those who watched the cursed tape had 7 days left to live.

With direction of Hisashi Kimura, Calling 4: Samara Rises has itineraries Koji Susuki (in The call) It is Yuga Takahashi. Long-awaited continuation by horror fans, the film should hit Brazilian theaters on April 27th.
