The adventures of ‘Willow’ and her gang will not continue in a second season.
Ever since we saw the ending of ‘Willow’ explained, fans of magic and crazy adventures in impossible lands wished it had only been the beginning. But Lucasfilm’s work for Disney+ will not continue on a new installment of episodes. AND what at first we seemed to be sure of ‘Willow’ season 2. This was the news we had on the sequel, in case it ever happened.
‘Willow’ Season 2: Canceled
It is true that fans of the original film, the fundamental ‘Willow‘ (Ron Howard, 1988), have ended up divided before a series desperate to find a whole that, 35 years ago, was easy and natural.
This division of opinions has been a great stumbling block for the creative team, eager to give us a new season of ‘Willow’, not been able to get down to work.
Surely it has been quite a stick for him showrunner Jonathan Kasdanwho went so far as to declare: “I hope they renew us,” he told comicbookmovie.com Kasdan when asked if the series would be renewed. “Definitely we’re working on it, and I’m begging Kathleen Kennedy because working with these actors and this team of filmmakers on this show has been the best experience.“.
‘Willow’: Synopsis
“We still feel like there are many bigger stories and places to visit“, explains a Kasdan who is in love with the project and eager to turn ‘Willow’ into a true collection of adventures, emulating the resounding success of ‘The Mandalorian‘already the undervalued and tremendously enjoyable’Boba Fett’s book‘. Poor little Kasdan.
Although Elora Danan has proven her heroic skills, the evil entity known as the Wyrm is still among us and wants to wreak havoc. This would have served as a perfect excuse for new characters to join the Willow-led company to fight evil in all its forms.

‘Willow’: Cast
Who would return to the adventure in the second season of ‘Willow’? We don’t know what happened to Prince Graydon, played by Tony Revolori, but since virtually everyone in the main gang is still available, it would have been logical to expect us to have:
-Warwick Davis as Willow Ufgood
– Ellie Bamber as Elora Danan
– Ruby Cruz as Princess Kit Tanthalos
– Erin Kellyman as Jade Claymore
– Amar Chadha-Patel as Boorman
– Dempsey Bryk as Prince Airk Tanthalos
– Joanne Whalley as Queen Sorsha
As for the return of Madmartigan, everything would have been possible. Left for dead all season, a telepathic encounter at the end had made us dream of the long-awaited return of Val Kilmer.
