Jack Black and the Farrelly brothers are working on a new Christmas comedy Dear Santa

When Peter and Bobby Farrelly were still making movies as a team, Jack Black starred for them in one of their biggest blockbuster comedies, shallow room. Now he’s ready to reunite with the pair of brothers for a new Christmas movie. Dear Santa Claus.

The Farrellys are also back together for this, though Bobby is actually directing, while Peter is producing and co-writing the script with his brother and Ricky Blitt.

Dear Santa ClausFrom an original idea by Dan Ewen, it centers on a boy who, while writing his annual card to Santa Claus, mixes up the letters and sends them to Satan.

It’s the one that’s been on the Farrellys’ radar for over a decade, originally premiering on 20th Century Fox as dear satanbut now squatting on Paramount.

The cast also includes Robert Timothy Smith, Keegan-Michael Key, Brianne Howey, Hayes MacArthur, PJ Byrne, Jaden Carson Baker, Kai Cech and Austin Post.
