During his professional career, he also attended two different colleges, marketing and biology. The passion for video games was there, but it took Digo a while to figure out that the branch was possible, even if he wasn’t a pro-gamer.
“I studied biology and marketing at university, I’ve also been playing guitar since I was 13 and I already had the dream of living on music. I’ve always loved it, but never thought about becoming a professional gamer, until I saw that the niche is much larger than just gamers and got to know the casting area.”
Digo also reveals what made him fall in love with his current profession: “I have always enjoyed interacting with and presenting the show. I fell in love with the spellcasting profession from my first contact with it.
It was this desire that started it all. In 2015, Digo just wanted to bring people together to share his passion for League of Legends. He didn’t know what he was getting into.
“I started in 2015 by organizing Bar Legends BH, a LOL broadcast event in the bars of Belo Horizonte. The event went really well and I started recording content within the event. And then Canal Uailistar appeared, my first project as a content creator, and the whole story started.”
Difficult journey for the enchanter
Today Digo can say that being a founder is his profession and his main income. However, it took some time to come true. After all, when it started, the scenario was still in its infancy and in its infancy.
“It was quite fascinating and challenging, as it was a setting still in development and with few endemic references. I only managed in 2021 to live off E-sports, to be my main source of income, as a caster. But before, I already did it by intuition and sure that I would climb until I succeeded!
When asked what prompted him to follow this path which can be tortuous, Digo did not hesitate to answer: “Love for what I do. Literally, I LOVE my profession.
It is largely due to his love of the electronic sports scene and his desire to see it grow that Digo lauds his next project, the Circuit match. After all, you need to move the community in order for the professional scene to keep growing.
“Tournaments are of great importance and relevance to the community, the famous “tier 3″ of the competition, as it is events like this that foment the foundations for the professionalization of players, pitchers and staff. Tournaments like this add a lot, and not just for the prize pool, which is also quite interesting, but for feeding an ecosystem that needs incentives.”
Do you want to participate in Game on circuit of Valorant? There’s still time! Registration is open and the first edition of the tournament will take place at the end of March with a prize pool of R$ 5,000.
