Fluminense is still preparing for the duel against Volta Redonda this Saturday at the Maracanã. The tricolors must win the return match to access the final of the Carioca Championship. In the first leg Fluminense lost 2-1.
For this reason, coach Fernando Diniz has been testing some options for the squad. The goal is to improve the performance of the tricolors, who have suffered in recent games, especially in the first half.
Who can lose the vacant place among the holders is the forward Keno. The player did not perform well. Diniz tested Fluminense with Lima and Gabriel Pirani in training this Thursday at CT Vale das Laranjeiras.
Lima arrived earlier this season and has played often. Pirani, on the other hand, was one of the club’s latest signings, coming from Santos on loan, but he stood out in the tricolor shirt. Against Flamengo, Pirani marked the breakthrough that gave Fluminense the Taça Guanabara title.
Diniz has until this Friday’s training session to define the Fluminense squad that will face Volta Redonda in the second leg of the Carioca Championship.
