Recently reopened after renovation Theater on Bronnaya – fresh, beautiful and homely, and the opening performance was a subtle and truly soulful production “Tanya” based on the play by Alexei Arbuzov. Director Konstantin Bogomolov surprised: you always expect something deliberately frank and even “inaccessible” from him, but he opened the season with light drama – a chamber drama about the story of love and growing up. I want to praise the scenery and the unusual approach to the design of the performance: the main characters are filmed, and you immediately see them also on the screen.

Another theatrical premiere “The Taming of the Shrew” at the Moscow City Council Theater staged by Andrei Konchalovsky. This is the first part of the “Shakespearean trilogy” conceived by Konchalovsky: after the comedy, tragedy (“Macbeth”) and fantasy (“The Tempest”) await the viewer in this poly-genre stage triptych. The incomparable Yulia Vysotskaya, the director’s wife and muse, plays the role of a shrew.

From the series I can safely recommend an unusual project “Loading” is an American science fiction television series by Greg Daniels that has already aired two seasons. The acting is at least alarming, but these shortcomings are overshadowed by a cool scenario: after death, people, left without a physical body, get the opportunity to “upload” themselves into a virtual afterlife – and there someone will even have the opportunity to investigate their own death. The story is addictive, it is impossible to tear yourself away – fantasy seems to be a completely possible reality. Who knows what will happen in a couple of years?

For those who miss Grey’s Anatomy (yes, the series is still running, but personally, after the death of the main character in a car accident, I stopped following the events), I recommend paying attention to “New Amsterdam” – at your service for four seasons! This is an American medical drama television series based on the book “12 Patients: Life and Death at Bellevue Hospital” by New York physician Eric Manheimer.

And one more “anatomy” – “Anatomy of a Scandal”. This is a new 2022 mini-series based on the novel of the same name by Sarah Vaughn. The banal story of adultery, which has become public knowledge, gradually turns into a complex psychological drama about how often we live with people without knowing who they really are. The series will also appeal to fans of “legal thrillers” in the style of “House of Cards”. Rupert Friend is in the title role, and his performance is literally awe-inspiring.

The story about the superhero Batman first appeared in comics published by DC Comics in 1939, and by 1943 (that is, almost 80 years ago), the hero had already migrated to movie screens, and since then we have seen many versions. New crime drama director “Batman” with Robert Pattinson, who turned 36 today, May 13, starring Matt Reeves. The film runs for three hours – in my opinion, this is the main mistake of the creators. In addition, the picture, which spent almost $ 200 million, looks, according to fans and critics, quite budgetary, although I personally am not ready to agree with this. However, the fan audience in any case provided excellent fees – more than 700 million dollars, which convinced the film company to shoot a sequel.

Animation Premiere – “Suvorov: The Great Journey” from the film studio “Soyuzmultfilm”. According to the plot, a simple young man Grisha goes on a great journey, gets into the service of the commander Alexander Vasilyevich Suvorov and becomes a participant in fateful events during the legendary Swiss campaign. The message is correct: anyone can become a hero. But, in my opinion, the authors did not clearly define the target audience: the cartoon, announced for the age of 6+, will not hold the attention of children, but adults will not become its viewers either.
