Even with a performance marked by ups and downs on the circuit designed for the event in the parking lot of one of the largest hotels in Las Vegas, Danillo closed the year with incredible performances and performances, including the impressive comeback effort in the finale of the KA100 Master category, starting from the nineteenth position and closing the event on the podium with the fourth position.
– We went from heaven to hell, after setting the second fastest time in the time trial, and seeing a small mistake in the Third Manche take away important points in the sum for the start of the final race, points that cost a possible start in the first ones positions, and the direct search for victory – explained Ramalho.
The competition’s second podium came in the form of a recovery at the event. – I close another Skusa with the feeling of accomplishment. Not only as a driver, but also as a coach. It’s not easy to reconcile the two functions on the same weekend, even more so in an international competition, but we managed to close Skusa with a positive balance. As a driver, I have achieved two podium finishes, and as a coach and owner of D2 Motors, we have achieved multiple podiums and titles,” Ramalho highlighted, who also saw his successor, his son Matheus Ramalho, take the podium in the Micro Swift category.
In a year dedicated to competitions in the United States and Canada, Danillo Ramalho has impressed his name on North American karting by winning the titles of the Skusa Winter Series, the United States Pro Kart Series and the ROK Festival East, the second place in the Skusa Pro Tour , and fourth-place Florida Winter Tour also absent from the first leg.
– We had an incredible year, with a lot of hard work and dedication, where in addition to the titles as a driver, we managed to provide other drivers who competed with D2 Motors equipment, achieve results in various competitions and we will continue to 2023 with a focus on new achievements – he concluded.
