He’s faced entrenched racist exploitation, look-alikes and alien abductions, but can Jordan Peele make Christmas scary? We’d say most likely, but while his next film will be released this holiday season, it’s still unclear if he’ll have anything to do with Santa Claus, Christmas trees, or anything else like that.
Universal has announced that the director’s next film will be released (at least in the US) on December 25, 2024. It’s a potentially risky place since sonic the hedgehog 3 and, perhaps most crucially, the third Avatars The film will be released the previous week and we know that James Cameron’s franchise tends to attract screens and audiences even more effectively than NOThe creature lurking in the clouds kidnaps people and horses.
At this point, as per tradition with Peele, we don’t know anything about what the film could be: no title, cast or even genre has yet been announced.
In Peele-related news, he’s also producing a new film from another director through his Monkeypaw company, but again, all we know is the release date: September 27, 2024.
