The 3rd season of The Mandalorian is in full swing on the Disney+ platform. Fans of the Star Wars universe will be delighted to see Dean Jarrin (Pedro Pascal) and Grog team up for new adventures that are just as fun as they are dangerous!

After a detour to Mandalore, where the bounty hunter bathed in living waters to regain his Mandalorian status, and a passage to Coruscant, where Dr. Pershing, Moff Gideon’s former commander, struggles to test his powers from the job. A worker under the New Republic, make your way into a new chapter of The Mandalorian!

In the fourth episode of season 3, Dean Jarrin and his little companion Grogu are now part of the Mandalorian clan on the refuge planet, following Pedro Pascal’s heroic success in the living waters of Mandalore. This also applies to Bo-Katan Crisis (Kate Sackhoff), who is also rehabilitated.

This chapter, directed by Carl Weathers, the translator of Gref Karga, brings a new rescue mission for Dean Jarin and his family, as the orphan, who already appeared in the first episode of season 3, was kidnapped by a sand dragon. For his part, Grogu continues his apprenticeship with the Mandalorians.

And as with every episode of the Disney+ series, this episode included plenty of hints and Easter eggs in the Star Wars saga. Here are all the hidden details you absolutely cannot miss in The Mandalorian Season 3 Episode 4!

Flashback to Grog’s Jedi Temple

Left with the armor while Dean Jarrin went to rescue the orphan, Grogu recalls a painful moment from his past where the Forge reveals the weaknesses of the Mandalorians. These are Grog’s final moments at the Jedi Temple on Coruscant as Order 66, or the Jedi Purge, begins.

This section then takes place alongside the events of the Revenge of the Sith movie. Grogu manages to escape from it thanks to the Jedi who lose their lives there.

Kelleran Beck

On his way out of the Jedi Temple, Grogu is rescued by Keleran Beck, a Jedi Master who first appeared in the game show. Star Wars: The Challenge of the Jedi Temple which challenges young Padawans through a series of obstacles to determine who will become a Jedi. The show, which is available online, is hosted by Ahmed Best.

The latter therefore reprises his role as Kellan Beck in The Mandalorian, but he is also known for being the voice of Jar-Jar Binks in the Star Wars prequel.

The ship and Padme Amidala’s soldiers

Attacked by stormtroopers “returning” under Palpatine’s Order 66 and the establishment of the Empire, Jedi Master Keleran Beck and Grogu manage to escape thanks to precious help: some Naboo soldiers and their ship. To remind you, Naboo is the home planet of the princess then senator Padme Amidala (Natalie Portman).

Grog’s armor takes shape

The armorer forged Grog his next suit of armor, a washing machine, to match Dean Jarrin. It has a mud symbol. This is the large creature that Dean Jarrin and the kid killed in the second episode of The Mandalorian.

This battle brought them closer, and the mud became the crest of the clan created by Dean Jarrin and Grogu. Recall that the first piece of Grog’s armor was Bescar’s chain mail, which he received in the Boba Fett book.

Kirimorut

The location of the sand dragon that kidnapped the Mandalorian orphan worries the clan, who are unsure if they will be able to climb the mountains. But Bo-Katan explains that this place is lower than the peaks of Kirimorut.

This name refers to an isolated fortress located in Mandalore. It was home to the Skirrata clan, but also to all the clones and Jedi who wanted to hide from the Empire. This place was especially featured in the book Republican Commando: True Colors.

The return of the crocodile

In the end, Dean Jarrin manages to save the Mandalorian orphan after a fierce battle against the Sand Dragon. The latter falls into the water and is attacked and killed by a kind of crocodile. Viewers have already seen this terrifying species in the Mandalore season 3 premiere.

The kidnapped orphan is Paz Wisla’s son

When the Mandalorians find the footprints of an orphan taken by a sand dragon, Paz Wisla (Tait Fletcher) reveals to his brothers and sisters that this is his son and his name is Ragnar. House Vizsla is one of the most powerful and influential clans in the Mandalorian world. This means that Bo-Katan Crisis will definitely have a strong contender for the throne of Mandalore in the future.

Bo-Katan and Mythosaurus

The armorer takes Bo-Katan to a smithy to repair his armor as it is missing a shoulder pad. Bo-Katan asks him to put on the Mythosaurus seal, and he explains that he saw a real Mythosaurus.

He mentions his experience in The Living Waters of Mandalore in The Mandalore Season 3 Episode 2. The armor then begins to respond cryptically: “When you walk the Mandalore road, you will see many things. Such is the way.” Unbeknownst to the armor, Bo-Katan removed his helmet during the bonfire before Paz went to save Wisla’s son.

The Mandalorian series is available on Disney+.
