HICP-15 came in at 0.69% in March, compared with 0.76% the previous month


The accumulated increase over the past 12 months was 5.36%, against a rate of 5.63% through February, according to IBGE data

RIO – O Extended National Consumer Price Index-15 (HICP-15) rose 0.69% in March, after rising 0.76% in February, the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE).

The result was within the estimates of financial market analysts consulted by Estadão/Broadcast, who expected an increase of 0.58% to 0.81%, but slightly above the positive median of 0.67%.



With the result announced this Friday, the HICP-15 recorded a 2.01% increase in the accumulated result for the year. In 12 months, the high was 5.36%, against a rate of 5.63% through February. Projections ranged from 5.24% to 5.90%, with a median of 5.34%.
