Rubro-Negro was defeated by Portuguesa-RJ, by 1 to 0, in a duel played in Gávea
Flamengo experienced their first defeat in the Under-20 Carioca Championship this Saturday. Ninho’s boys lost against Portuguesa-RJ, 1-0, in Gávea, in a match valid for the second round of the State Championship. Ivisson scored the visitors’ goal.
Mário Jorge’s side began with a 7-0 defeat against Boavista but failed to repeat their good performance on Saturday morning. Rubro-Negro also pressed, but was not efficient in attack and conceded the goal in a general blunder of the defense.
Game finished in Gávea. Flamengo is beaten by Portuguesa 1-0 in the Carioca Sub-20 Championship.

With the result, Flamengo has lost the leadership of the Guanabara Cup and will have to chase in the next rounds to reach rivals such as Fluminense and Botafogo. The next match for Ninho’s boys will be on Saturday (01), against Bangu, at Moça Bonita.
Portuguesa-RJ, in turn, bounced back after losing 3-0 to Botafogo on their debut. Lusa da Ilha’s next matches will be against Fluminense and Vasco, closing the sequence of four consecutive complicated matches.
